After I finished my Fine Art degree I like many young minds decided to travel, I had always longed to see the world, to find my self, to learn new things and meet new people. I decided to work as an English teacher in South Korea and met some of the kindest people. My Teachers, my students the ones who cared for me who taught me what it means to be a good teacher who actually taught me about life, about love, they always made me feel at home. I didn't know the language, any family or friends or even what the culture is like apart from watching some Korean dramas and listening to k-pop but I realised that all people in every country are going through their own life, trying their best, lets be kind to one another because to be kind is always free.
I realised how children find joys in the smallest of things like collecting leaves and showing it to me, or playing their flute, jumping on the puddles, how they had all these hopes and dreams and they could only see it as something exciting something of a possibility. When we grow up sometimes it seems like our dreams are so far away and that perhaps we become a little cynical if it would come true. I think that being able to make art in itself is a dream to me and regardless of all the adult things we need to consider I am still going to pursue my dream because drawing and telling stories is what i love the most. I have made some Zines of this it is all hand drawn with mixed media of inks, paints, chalk, crayons and tissue paper I hope you can feel the joy and love I feel for that experience and of South Korea, I ended up living there for nearly 4 years and it was the most magical time of my life. If you would like to buy it, it is £10 free postage to UK.
